Ageing Concerns

As we age, our skin naturally changes, and you might start noticing things like volume loss, fine lines, wrinkles, and thinning or dehydrated skin. These concerns are due to anatomical changes, such as bone loss, tissue, muscle, and fat depletion, or the redistribution of these tissues, along with a decline in skin health caused by collagen loss. One of the most important things to focus on as we get older is finding ways to boost or “bank” collagen.

You can do this by incorporating key active ingredients into your skincare routine, like retinol and vitamin C, as well as through in-clinic treatments such as chemical peels and microneedling. If you’re looking to step it up a notch, dermal fillers are fantastic for restoring lost volume in areas like the lips or cheeks, and for creating definition in the jaw or jowl area. Fillers can also be used to soften delicate areas like upper lip lines, or deeper lines around the nose and mouth (nasolabial folds) and chin (marionette lines).

Injectable skin boosters or polynucleotides are excellent for bringing hydration back to dry, dehydrated skin while also stimulating collagen production. For fine lines and wrinkles, toxin injections are incredibly effective at softening or even eliminating lines caused by muscle movements in areas like the forehead, frown lines, and around the eyes. They’re also great for lifting a downturned smile, smoothing a dimpled chin, or reducing neck lines.
